From time to time I will post questions I receive that I think would be helpful to readers of my blog.
Question: How do I add an image to my gmail signature?
Answer: This detailed answer is form About.com
A signature’s all fine and dandy in Gmail; it’s not so picturesque, though, and juicy?
If you long for an image, perhaps, or a logo to appear at the bottom of your every email, Gmail can do that, too. If you place the graphic on a public web site, adding it to your signature is easy, and everybody will be able to see it.
Add an Image to Your Gmail Signature
To add a logo, graphical signature or other image to your email signature in Gmail:
- Make sure the picture you want to add to your signature is available on a public web server.
- You can upload the image to your web host or blog, or use a graphic you found on the web (if you can use it without violating any terms).
- If you don’t have a web site, you can use a free image hosting service instead.
- If the image is larger than some 640×60 pixels, consider shrinking it to more signature-friendly proportions before you upload it.
- Click Compose mail in Gmail.
- Make sure the rich-text editor is enabled: if you see Rich formatting » right above the message’s text composition area, click it.
- Click Discard.
- Follow the Settings link in the top Gmail navigation bar.
- Go to the General tab.
- Make sure the signature entry are is selected under Signature:.
- Compose the signature’s text and formatting as you wish.

- Click Insert Image in the signature’s formatting toolbar.
- Enter the desired image’s URI (on the web page, blog or image hosting service) under Image URL.
